observing other's self portraits

what i believe is going on in the first self portrait is that it is summer time and these people just had a loss of power so no one has air conditioning or lights in their houses so all the men and women decided to lounge outside together

in the second picture i believe it is a unhappy housewife making a cugle type dish for her abusive spouse and it is a routine that she follows everyday

I chose pictures of me hanging out in my room because i feel like that is something i do often, and I feel like it would make sense to shoot my self portrait in my room would be a smart idea. I feel like these pictures express who I am as a person and that is why I chose them. 

Why People Take Pictures

I believe the reason people take photos is because pictures can capture everything you need to remember and cherish an exact moment. Weather the moment be sad, happy, funny or memorable it is always an amazing feeling to be able to look at something and feel the same sensation of feeling as if you were living the moment over and over again.

writing assignment number two

This photo consists of 4 African American children posing for the photo that is being taken of them. In this photo the sneery seem not that well kept but the children seem like they are having a good time. This photo makes me aware of how some people in this world live, this photo makes me smile
In this photo I see a girl who is walking in the water with her dress on. Its a cool photo because you can see how the girl is walking from the light into the dark. This photo makes me think because i feel like there is a deep meaning behind it.

I like all of these photos because they were just really interesting to me. The second picture i chose was a photo of my grandfather and his two siblings in 1949. The third photo I chose was a photo of Yves Saint Laurent, I like this photo because it really portrays his personality. The reason I enjoyed the forth and last photos is because they show movement and they are really busy and unique. The reason i chose the picture of Michael Jackson is because he was an amazing musician and his presents will never be forgotten, and i feel like this picture really captured him at his prime and how amazing he is/was.
